Call to prayer from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York:
As Christians, our response to a crisis must always be rooted in prayer. And so we invite you to join with us in praying most earnestly for an outpouring of the Spirit of God, that the world may once again choose peace, strengthening those international bodies that enable us to work and live together as one humanity inhabiting one world.
We lament with the people of Ukraine, and we pray for the innocent, the frightened and those who have lost loved ones, homes, and family.
We pray for those in Ukraine who suffer grievously, for all who take decisions around the world, and for the people and leaders of Russia too.
Ukraine Appeal
On Easter Saturday, the Hoodie Choir Concert in aid of Ukraine raised £456.55.
I hope you agree this is a fantastic result and a tribute to everybody involved. The concert was well attended and everyone enjoyed it
There have been general enquiries as to what we are doing as a Church to help Ukraine and I am pleased to report that Transforming Communities have further donated the sum of £1000 from our 2022 budget.
PRAYER MINISTRY We would like to start to offer prayer ministry once more and are looking to build a team. We all need extra prayer at times- over an issue or a situation, just as a “spiritual boost”, or perhaps we are struggling to pray. If you feel this is something you could offer please either fill in a volunteer form, or speak to Janet or Alison. Training will be provided. DBS required as part of the safe recruiting policy.
Coffee is now being served in the Oak Room after the 10.00am service, please come along and enjoy a chat with your friends.
